INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Please notify us if you have a history of asthma, COPD, CHF, second or third degree heart block, or a heart attack in the last five days.

2. If you wish to eat, please have for breakfast, toast and a small glas of juice.  For luch you may have soup and juice.  No warm drinks.

3. No caffeine or cigarettes the day of your test, 12 hours.  Some items containing caffeine are coffee, tea, chocolate, Coke, Pepsi and Anacin.

4. No barium studies one week pror to your test. (Barium enemas or upper g.i.).

5. Please notify the technologist if you are pregnant.

6. Please notify the technologist if close spaces bother you, claustrophobia.

7. Bring inhalers if needed for breathing problems.

8. Nitro patches will be removed for the test.

9. Medications called Persantine, Dipyridamole, or Theophlline should be stopped 24-48 hours before your test.  Medications called Beta Blockers should be stopped the day before your test.

10. Treadmill weight limit 350 lbs.
